Full Moon in 16º Pisces 19′
Harvest Moon

EST

This is the last of the three summer supermoons. The Full Moon conjunct Chiron (the wounded healer) brings up some old childhood wounds for healing and helps us release long-standing patterns. Pisces is assisting us by dissolving and shape-shifting so we can become one with a larger truth.

Pisces is our spiritual teacher reminding us that the pleasure experience in the external world is temporary and will eventually disappoint. It reminds us that happiness does not depend on what happens outside ourselves, but what goes on the inside of us.

Key Phrase: I BELIEVE or I MERGE

Ruler: Neptune & Jupiter

Element: Water

Positive Aspects: Imaginative and sensitive, Compassionate, and kind, Selfless and unworldly, Intuitive and sympathetic

Negative Aspects: Escapist and idealistic, Secretive and vague, Weak-willed and easily led, and Illusional or delusional from addictions

Body Parts ruled: feet (symbolic of understanding, illumination, and idealism)

Crystals: Malachite: trust, encourages change and emotional risk-taking, Malachite acts as mirror to the subconscious, reflecting into the conscious mind, which needs to be cleansed. During meditation, Malachite will draw out and reflect whatever is impeding spiritual growth, and help balance and release those blockages.

Animals: Boar: innocence and faith, gives freely of self; has universal goodwill, simplicity, and fortitude; is reliable and has endurance and incredible patience. Have you been truthful with yourself and others? Have you been procrastinating on confronting someone or something?

Ask Yourself:

·  How am I blocking my own good?

·  What do I need to heal, release, or purify now?

Sabian Symbol for Pieces 17: An Easter PromenadeA symbol of “high moments” in life, when man challenges himself and renews his faith in circumstances. Self-improvement

Keywords: Rising from fear and loss.. Rebirth. Forgiveness.

The Caution: Superficial communal shows of unity. Craving for attention. Always needing an excuse to get together and unite. Empty displays of faith or joy. Doing things only because everyone else is doing them. Feeling lost, alone and forsaken in the crowd. Guilt trips. (From 360 Degrees of Wisdom by Linda Hill)

Feng Shui Tip: Improving the Quality of Life

·  Take the time to go through your home (junk draw by junk draw – nook by nook and cranny by cranny), your office, your car, your purse and ruthlessly throw out all the things that you haven’t used and probably didn’t even know you had.

·  Lighten you’re load. Remember less is more!

·  Broken items or things that don’t work SEND OUT NEGATIVE MESSAGES so out they go.

·  Reduce, Repair, Refurbish your A/C units.

 Celebrate this Full Moon:

·  The Harvest Moon is the largest and brightest moon of the year.

·  Go out and allow the energy of this big, beautiful harvest Moon to energize your prayers and intentions.

·  Take an Epson salt bath to clean your aura.

·  Go to the ocean

·  Pray and Meditate

·  Use this Full Moon to look at what you cling to and your fear of letting it go.

·  This is a great time to ask, “What can I freely give away? What can I share?”

Mediate on this poem:

All the Hemispheres

Leave the familiar for a while.
Let your senses and bodies stretch out

Like a welcomed season
Onto the meadows and shores and hills.

Open up to the Roof.
Make a new water-mark on your excitement
And love.

Like a blooming night flower,
Bestow your vital fragrance of happiness
And giving
Upon our intimate assembly.

Change rooms in your mind for a day.

All the hemispheres in existence
Lie beside an equator
In your heart.

Greet Yourself
In your thousand other forms
As you mount the hidden tide and travel
Back home.

All the hemispheres in heaven
Are sitting around a fire
Chatting

While stitching themselves together
Into the Great Circle inside of
You.

New Moon in 2° Aquarius 42’
2:39 AM EST

New Moons are always good times to set new intentions, and this New Moon in Aquarius ushers in the Chinese Year of the Water Dragon. Also, later in the evening Mars goes Retrograde in Virgo at 7.54pm.

InTibet, the Aquarius New Moon is New Year’s Day (called “Losar”). This is a time to renew our own spiritual practice by meditating, drumming or praying. At this time our prayer are multiplied 100,000 times.

So in this New Moon in Capricorn, I invite you to Use sage, bells, drums to cleanse away the old energy in your house and open your window and doors to invite prosperity into your life.

The New Moon in Aquarius brings new ideas to the world. It represents consciousness and the flowing of ideas. Aquarius new moon wants to electrify, to revolt, and to innovate.  It is the new moon to clear the emotional decks and starts a brand new cycle.

Keep in mind:  that clear thoughts and clear home = clear mind/clear goals and abundance.

  • What old thinking do I need to shift to bring in new ideas?
  • Where does 2- 3 degrees fall in your chart?

New Moon in 2° Capricorn 34’

Saturday, December 24
New Moon in 2° Capricorn 34’
1:06 PM EST

New Moons are always good times to set new intentions, and this New Moon in Capricorn will have a strong influence throughout the coming year.
This New Moon in Capricorn urges us to reflect on where we are, where we would like to be, and what it will take to get there. It is asking us to find balance between our inner and outer reality.
This is a powerful New Moon for setting goals, initiating projects, and making a serious commitment to achieving your financial and career success in 2012. The ruler of this Capricorn cycle is Saturn, the master strategist demanding that you get your ducks in a row with a realistic and responsible plan for success. It is the time to focus on organizing and creating a solid structure.  This Capricorn New Moon is asking us to allow our light to shine, and in doing so, the road to our happiness and satisfaction will become clear to us.

Winter Solstice

Thursday, December 22 2011
 Winter Solstice

The Winter Solstice (“solstice” literally means “sun-standing-still.”) occurs when the Sun enters Capricorn, and it is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the longest day in the Southern Hemisphere. At the solstice the Sun stands still for three days.

The Winter Solstice is a natural time for inner reflection, for taking stock and celebration. It helps us attune to the natural rhythms of creation. It is also about home and family, kindness and light, love and friendship. The television, when on, is full of recipes and holiday movies (my daughter, and I love them!).

This year the Solstice is exactly on December 22nd  at  5:30 UTC (Universal Time), in USA at 12:30 AM Eastern Time.

Celebrate the return of Light by:

  • Do a fire-gazing meditation
  • Gather some photos of your ancestors and light a candle in honor of them.
  • Blow the energy of love and abundance into a crystal and give it to a friend as a gift.
  • Created a painting or a mandala to honor the spirit of the Winter Solstice.
  • Click here for Yule Ritual Ideas or why not create some rituals of your own?
  • Listen to music to align and connect with the rhythm and deeper meaning of the season. Some ideas are: “Deck the Halls,” “The Longest Night of the Year” by Mary Chapin Carpenter, Winter, Fire, and Snow love it, In The Bleak Midwinter by Loreena McKennitt.
  • Bake some Yule Moon Cookies; below is the recipe

 Yule Moon Cookies
1 cup butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/3 cup flour
1 1/2 cup grated almonds (blanched)
1 tsp. vanilla
Icing:
2 cups sifted confectioner’s sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 Tbsp. water

Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy and light. Add grated lemon peel, salt, flour, grated almonds, and 1 tsp. vanilla; mix thoroughly. Place dough in bowl. Cover and chill thoroughly. When the dough is well chilled; or the next day, roll out dough to 1/8″ thickness and cut with moon/crescent cookie cutter. Place 1/2″ apart on un-greased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 375° oven for 8-10 minutes.

Icing: While cookies bake, combine confectioner’s sugar, vanilla and water. Spread over the tops of cookies while still warm, but not too hot, as icing will melt. Thin with additional drops of water if glaze is too thick. Allow cookies to cool.

Yield: 10 dozen cookies

Remember that life is the ultimate adventure and a continual blessing. It’s time for you to explore, discover, walk your truth and live your gratitude in each present moment.

Happy Solstice!

New Moon in 3° Scorpio 03’

Wednesday, October 26
New Moon in 3° Scorpio 03’
3:56 PM EST

Scorpio New Moon is the moon of the magician, the shaman, the psychic and when in negative,  the bitch or bastard. Scorpio is about the urge to merge—to throw all the resources into one pot, and out of the mixture to create something new—a child, a business, a work of art, a productive life goal, a healing.

Scorpio has three symbols: the Scorpion, whose sting is death; the Snake who periodically sheds its old skin and grows a new one; and the Phoenix, who soars out of the ashes and has a strong connection with spirit.

This New Moon occurs 2 days before Calleman’s end date for the Mayan Calendar, Oct 28, (when the actual 2012 begins base on his calculations) when the  nine levels of consciousness, corresponding to the nine waves of evolution, will then manifest. The ninth of these waves brings a unity consciousness to the world.

Each year, during the Scorpio New Moon cycle, you have a unique opportunity to release something old, to solve a mystery or discover a secret that only you know.

So this New Moon in Scorpio set your intention to open your eyes to your own shadows

Some Questions to ask yourself in this new moon:

Take a long look at yourself; go all the way inside your skin, inside your mind, inside your heart.

  • Are you doing and saying things that create fear, alienation, dissatisfaction, and despair in others?
  • What thoughts and actions have you put energy into that are now coming back to haunt you?
  • Are you open to heal emotionally, through the grief and loss associated with death?
  • How easily do you accept change?
  • Do you trust in the promise of life’s renewal?
  • Every year at this time, you transform something in the area of your chart where this new moon falls.
  • This is the area of life where you can be focused, resilient, tenacious, and incredibly perceptive. This is where you are your best detective. Something within us asks “How can I change?”

Where does 3- 4 degrees Scorpio fall in your chart?

Where does Taurus fall in your chart? That is where you will see results by the Full Moon on November 10.

SABIAN SYMBOL FOR 4 Scorpio: A youth holding a lighted candle– Are you communicating with spirit through prayer, words or actions and energy?

 Celebrate this New Moon:

 Write your 10 wishes.

New Moon is a window of opportunity that we can use by writing down a wish list (ten wishes maximum each month) of whatever we want to have come true in our lives. For success, your wishes must be handwritten on paper. The most potent time is the first 8 hours AFTER the exact time of the New Moon; within the first 48 hours will still work. For clear success, it’s best to avoid wishing during those hours when the Moon is Void of Course.

In her book, “New Moons Astrology”, Jan Spiller advises us to make wishes on the New Moon related to: self expression, imitative, courage, passion, leadership, enthusiasm, daring.

 Sample wishes:

I choose to be aware and see the real needs of my significant other.”

  • “I choose to use my power constructively.”
  • “I easily find myself releasing old baggage from _________ (childhood/all previous relationships).”
  •  “I choose to express my intensity in ways that are not threatening to others.”
  • “I choose to have my obsession with _________totally lifted from me.”
  • “I choose to make the sexuality in my relationship with _________more passionate therefore making it easier for us.”
  •  “I choose to value those people in my life who are important to me and give them my full support.”

 •   24 Hours before the New Moon is the time to go within and connect to what the need is for that area of your life.

•   24 Hours after the New Moon, write down your intentions. Verbalize them. Visualize them. Send them out. It is done!

 The strongest times for wishing:

The most potent time is the first 8 hours AFTER the exact time of the New Moon;

Wednesday: 3:57 pm – midnight

Thursday: clear for making wishes all day and night

Friday: 12:01 am – 7: 48 am, 10:45 am – midnight

Remember to write an Abundance check:

Abundance checks are a tool we can use to create more abundance in our lives. They are written within 24 hours after a New Moon.

    • How to write an Abundance check:
  1. Within 24 hours after a New Moon, take a check from your check book. Where it says “Pay to,” write your name.
  2. In the little box on the same line where you would fill in a dollar amount write “Paid in full.”
  3. On the line underneath your name, where you would write out a dollar amount, write “Paid in full.”
  4. Sign the check: “The Law of Abundance.”
  5. Do not put a date on the check. Do not write a specific dollar amount in the check. Put in a safe place and forget about it. The Universe will take it from there. Many people are skeptical about trying this until they do it. After the first time, they realize the power of these checks and do them routinely every month! Try it yourself and see!

Feng Shui Tip of the month:

As we honor cycles and watch as Mother Earth cleans house, we should also begin to clear and cleanse and purify ourselves and our personal spaces from the inside out or the outside in.

  • Broken items or things that don’t work SEND OUT NEGATIVE MESSAGES so out they go.
  • Reduce, Repair, Refurbish
  • Are your feelings stifled? Do you feel detached from others? Then it’s time to clear out those hidden places (like behind a door in the corner) that are clutter traps.
  • Buy aPhoenix’s statue and place it in the master bedroom, home offices…to represent your greatest aspirations.

Shamanic Journey Idea: Animal of this month new moon is the: Phoenix symbol of regeneration, mystical rebirth and immortality.

New Moon in 5° Virgo 27’

Sunday, August 28
New Moon in 5° Virgo 27’
11:04 PM EST

Virgo is a mutable, earth sign and resides in the 6th house (health, habits, routines, jobs and employment, diet, service to others, pets) of the natural zodiac, ruled by Mercury the messenger.

This new Moon in Virgo is activating the area of your life where you must do something useful in the world and be of service to others. This energy is telling you it is time to walk your walk and talk your talk. It is about honesty and integrity.

”The message is it’s time to devote yourself to work and work relationships especially people who work for you.”

The New Moon in Virgo highlights themes related to work, analytical thinking, and problem solving. Also this is the best time all year to initiate a new diet or fitness regimen, to upgrade your daily routines and health habits.

“NOW is the time for us to pay attention to the body and take responsibility for our health.”

Some Questions to ask yourself in this new moon:

  •  Where does 5- 6 degrees Virgo fall in your chart?
  • Where does Pisces fall in your chart? That is where you will see results by the Full Moon
  • What attributes do I need to develop in order to be in better health, develop better habits, and use my time more effectively?
  • What are the psychic causes of physical illness? What are the spiritual implications of disease?
  • What is my body trying to tell me about my life? If my current methods are not working, what healing processes have I rejected in the past due to a fear of trying something different? (I strongly recommend Louise Hay’s “Heal Your Body”).

In her book, “New Moons Astrology”, Jan Spiller advises us to make wishes on the New Moon related to: self expression, imitative, courage, passion, leadership, enthusiasm, daring.

 Sample wishes:

“I choose clear planning that will empower me to successfully reach my goal of ___________”

“I easily find myself replacing daydreaming with productive action”.

“I choose to easily find myself exercising (aerobically, by walking, on the treadmill, at the gym, etc.) a minimum of three times a week, 45 minutes each time”

“I choose to initiate happy new relationships.”

 •   24 Hours before the New Moon is the time to go within and connect to what the need is for that area of your life.

•   24 Hours after the New Moon, write down your intentions. Verbalize them. Visualize them. Send them out. It is done!

The strongest times for wishing:
Sunday:  11:04 pm – midnight
Monday:  12:01 am – 6: 14 pm
Tuesday:  2:26 pm – midnight

  • Organize all your drawers. Notice which ones always seem to be filling up again and again. Check to see which area of the Bagua or life situation it falls in. This will give you a clue to an issue you are just not ready to let go of.
  • Since one of the areas highlighted at this new moon is health it is extremely important to work on the center/ health gua in every room.
  • Take a look to see where most of your clutter is and see if you can relate that to anything going on in your body. Someone found this on the internet and sent it to me and I think it’s great. The Bagua and Your Health:
  • Career gua – relates to ears, kidneys, bladder, bodily fluids, and reproductive system. Are you feeling uneasy about your career choice? Are you unclear about what your purpose is – what you are here to do?
  • Knowledge & Self-Cultivation gua – relates to finger, hands, back. Are you open to learning from the lessons that come your way? Are you feeling supported by life?
  • Family gua – relates to feet, liver, big bones, gall bladder. Do you have unresolved issues with your parents, siblings or other family members?
  • Wealth & Prosperity gua – relates to hips, pelvis, buttocks, small bones, respiration. Do you have feelings of lack or financial worries?
  • Fame & Reputation gua – relates to eyes, heart, circulation, glands, small intestine, high fevers. Are you not seeing something? Is there somewhere in your heart that’s closed?
  • Love & Relationships gua – relates to stomach, organs, spleen, and digestive problems. Who are you letting bug you? Are you holding a grudge? Is there anyone you are not forgiving? How is your relationship with your mother?
  • Children & Creativity gua – relates to the neck, mouth, teeth, lungs, colon, skin, throat, large intestine. Where are you not speaking your truth? Is your creativity and self-expression blocked?
  • Helpful People & Travel gua – relates to the head, skull, brain, migraine headaches. Do you have issues with your father? Are you thinking small in any area of your life?
  • Health/ Center gua – relates to immune system, and overall health and well-being. Are you practicing good self-care? Sleeping well, eating healthy food, exercising?

Shamanic Journey Idea: Animal of this month new moon The Bear:

“Like their animal totem, Brown Bear people are self-reliant and prefer to stand on their own two feet rather than rely on others. They take time to acclimatize to change, preferring the security and comfort of the familiar. They are constructive and good fixers, with an innate ability to get things working, whether in dealing with the break-down of a piece of equipment or in human relations.”   – Kenneth Meadows

So journey to the lower world and invoke Bear medicine to help you connect with your own wisdom.  Ask the bear to help you attune yourself to the energies of the Eternal Mother, (the space of inner-knowing); and teach you how to make choices from a position of power.

What to do on this New Moon:

  •  Get organized, tie up loose ends, and refine your ideas and plans.
  • Pay better attention to your stress and fatigue levels, and start taking better care of “you” physically – start eating healthier, maybe sign up for a new exercise class…
  • Want to do a New Moon Ritual? Check this Virgo New Moon Ritual: Focused Relaxation by  Simone

Focus on this quote: “The unborn Buddha Mind is not something other than you; it is not something separate from you. But even though it is not separate from you, you must bring it forth. You must realize it and manifest it-not just once, but moment to moment.” Adyashanti

Aries Moon Affirmation: “Daily, I learn the secrets of self-mastery.” “Miracles happen every day in my life!

Full Moon Total/ Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius

Wednesday, June 15
Full Moon Total/ Lunar Eclipse
in Sagittarius @
 24 º 23’
4:14 PM EDT

Time to move forward with a new attitude and get ready for adventure!

This Full Moon/eclipse takes place in the sign of Sagittarius. This eclipse will be visible in many parts of Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe and South America. This Lunar Eclipse will affect us for 6 months and is close to the powerful Galactic Center, at 26 degrees. The Galactic Center says Carol Wiggers: “It is a stunning source of energy, motivation, and aspiration,”

Sagittarius (The Archer) represents the centaur (half horse, half man) with an arrow pointing to the stars, indicating the conflict of instinct and wisdom. The key phrases for Sagittarius are “I SEE” or “I PERCEIVE.”

Sagittarius it is always seeking the big picture that enlightens and gives hope based on the interconnection with all life. It is our universal voice; it is energetic and fast moving. So this full Moon in Sagittarius is about learning, growth and the emotional need for freedom and adventure, and with Jupiter, the ruler of this lunation, you can be sure it will require doing these things in a colossal way.

The Sagittarian Moon represents the ideal form of communicating wisdom with compassion and joy. We are asked to let go of our outdated beliefs, especially in the area of familial, cultural and religious programming. A reevaluation of our long-held positions may need some updating under this full moon influence. In addition, pay close attention to intense emotions around this eclipse, especially in the area of freedom of information, personal freedom, and spirituality.

Wherever this Full Moon/eclipse falls in your natal chart is where you’re being asked to risk the release of old beliefs to make way for new opportunities.

The Sabian Symbol for the Sagittarius Full Moon is:

A Chubby Little Rich Boy Rides Upon A Hobbyhorse: This Symbol speaks about taking time to have hobbies, to be indulging in what sets your heart on fire, what gets you going, something that can have you waking up in the morning eager to do something that you love. If you don’t have this in your life, or you don’t give yourself enough time to be doing what you want to be doing, or you ignore the promptings of your creative self, perhaps you need to set some time aside to just do what YOU want, rather than feeling duty bound to do what others expect of you. Of course, we have to do what is expected in life that is a natural outcome of being on this planet; however, if we’re not satisfying our natural curiosity, creativity or talents, we can find ourselves wondering when we’re going to get around to doing it. This eclipse seems to be suggesting that the time is NOW.

Keywords: Hobbies and their pleasures. Unrestrained, imaginative play that can lead to truly wonderful creations, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Protected practice. Having to have one’s sexual needs fulfilled before one loses energy. Exercise, doing something because one can. Constantly going off on distracting schemes. Boys and their toys. Unrestrained passion.

The Caution: Someone spoilt and shallow. Feeling that one can take on anything without thought of the actual consequences. Playing when one should be more serious about life. Not doing one’s work, avoiding it by doing ‘fun’ things instead. Having no friends to play with.

  • Add light or arrange your furniture in your house to create the feeling of expansion.
